Explore Norwegian Point Park in Hansville, WA, along with some lovely images from a couple's maternity session.

While Point No Point may be the favorite child of Hansville beaches, Norwegian Point Park should certainly not be overlooked. It's true that she has no lighthouse, but her beauty really lies in her simplicity.
What I love about Norwegian Point Park:

The parking lot is right next to the beach. No lugging all your kids and all their nonsense a mile away to get away from the crowded areas - just park and walk like 30 feet to the beach.
SAND. Yes, that's right. It's a sandy beach - good sand too! Perfect for digging and sand-castling.
The driftwood is immaculate. Perfect for sitting and climbing and even building forts if that's your jam. I leave the heavy lifting to my kids while I sit back and enjoy the view.

Oh, THE VIEW. Incredible. Look out across the Puget Sound and catch glimpses of Whidbey Island and the cascades when it's not too hazy.
She has a gazebo. Gazebos are great - fun to talk about, great for getting out of the heat for a bit, and wonderful for taking photos too

Shaded picnic tables. This park has a good bit of tree cover between the parking lot and the beach, making it excellent spot for picnicking.
Walking distance to local spots. Just across the street from the parking lot, you can find Greenwoodes Farm Organic Bakery or go a little northwards to find the Hansgrill - Hansville Grocery and Provisions Co.
All in all - Norwegian Point is a perfect spot to go for a day or an hour. Sure to be a hit for kids and grown-ups alike.
